İngilizce pratik yapalım diyenler burası sizin mekanınız artık

hi girls
this is great! I haven't seen this topic before.
I am an english teacher.
I gave a bith to my daughter approximately two months ago so I am not going to work this year. I prefer to look after her.
I speak to my daughter, sing songs, lullabies in English.I want her to speak both languages, English and Turkish. She is my only student from now on.

Thank you yorgun savaşçı:)

Last week was terrible, painful, worrying and sad for me because my grandfa had a heart attack:KK43: But now he's getting better, thanks to God!!! I'm pretty tired because i've been the hospital for a week and i had some bad experiences! People who are around me in the hospital are sick and some patients were dead :KK43: After that i realized i should say thanks to God many times!!!

Sorry for writing too bad things but it's my last week and i wanted to share with you guys!
See you:KK66:

sorry turab571, I can't visit kk everyday, but if I can, I visit this page, and if there is new messages, I try to write. a.s.

never mind Yorgunsavasci it's ok.
I noticed that you have been here very often.
a piece of advise for every one who wants to practise; watching movies in English with English subtittles really helps. when you miss some words you can read them.
I watch a movie every day.

hi again,
do you watch movies from dvd/internet or is there any tv channel like that (I've just kablolu tv :gitme: ). I try to listen music and read/follow the lyrics. I think there is also a music channel like that.

But for me I think, it's hard to understand a movie without turkish subtitel :kedi: If I come to intermediate level, maybe easier. what do you think about it?eyvahedigeldismile

hi guys!
Be realistic please!!! It is almost impossible to understand an authentic movie in English if your English level isn't advanced!!!! Moreover I claimed that some dialogues in the films can't be understood even by native speakers:)))

hi again
i have dvds in english. new movies are done with their own languages' subtittles. you just select it.
There is a cartoon named "the last air bender,Avatar". I used to watch this cartoon in english that really helped me. It's language is really understandable. After that my listening skill got better.
Even you don't understand what are they talking about or you miss some words, don't mind and keep watching. As the days past you will understand very well. this is the most interesting way of improving language skills.
And i also watch channels in english. my favorite channels are e2 and CNBC.
Do you have any body to talk in english?

don't be too pessimist .
I don't adduce that I understand each word. If i were a native speaker i would not force myself to watch a movie every day. i wacth them for getting better.
if you understand the main idea ofcourse you can watch. it is better than doing nothing.

I think, trying to learn English through the films is a very loooooooong way. You have to be patient and stubborn. Just watching the films can't help you of course. You have to improve your vocabulary knowledge. And especially you have to find new ways for developing your speaking skills! Have you any new ,radical suggestions TURAB571 ?????????

Lots of my friends are practising and improving their listening skills and vocabulary by watching cnbc-e. When I try to see a serie film, after that I realize just in 20 minutes I learned 3-4 new words and phrases and fixed more words/phrases, which I don't use, because I'm not sure.

Yes, I have native speaker friends& colleagues, but I always catch the import things of the content, so by speaking with them, I don't care really on the new words, and writing is the biggest problem for me :gitme: And also grammer. I had to check spelling of 5-6 words in this 5-6 sentences but I'm sure I've more mistakes.

Yes, I agree with you. I learned another language by reading books many years ago. Even I couldn't understand %50 of the words, I was trying, and timebytime it was easier for me. And on each repaid as you say, you can fix your knowledges.

I think, there is a missunderstanding. We were not speaking, learning english just through the movies. It's a support method, which is fun and interesting for many people.
