This x-ray, taken of “Marilyn DiMaggio” in 1954 at the Cedars of Lebanon Hospital was expected to sell for $800-1200 last year, in the end it sold for $45,000! This x-ray of Marilyn’s chest, which was taken in Florida in 1954, sold for $45,000 in 2010. It was taken when Marilyn was admitted for surgery for endometriosis, a condition of the womb which caused her a lot of physical pain.
