merhaba kizlar! benim turkcem cok kotu, ama yardim istiyorum! Biri İngilizce konuşuyor?

I'm engaged with my turkish fiance since 1 year, but problems occured in our relationship and seems like we will break up

my question is: how does an engagement breaks up in turkish culture? is there a special protocole? what if the man is breaking the engagement, what does he need to do in this case? what happens to the rings / alians?

if a man wanna to break up the engagement or the woman, it's not a rule..
firstly say to us:
you dont love him anymore?
he doesnt mind you?
or your love finished?
whatever the problem is,both of you together have to decide on go on your relationship or go to the end for me .
It s not about Turkish traditions , its about you...

I love him so much! and he says he loves me too! but we have been having small discussions lately (maybe distance gets everything worse! I'm in my country and was planning to move to turkey by the end of the year). he found a new job recently and got distant, I asked what was going on? he said he is tired of fighing, of our discussions... he sounded depressed, I dont know if his family had influence... it seems that we will break up. he hasnt contacted me 2 weeks after our last talk.

I dont want to end, but also I cant obligate someone to marry me if he doesnt want to, even I love him a lot!

do not think he is a turkish guy who plays with foreigners, like there are many! no, he was serious in 4 years, ALL his family and friends know me, they love me, they always ask about me, all the time asking when were we going to get marry!

but life changes I think, maybe he thought I was not the woman for him to marry?

how do turks handle this?

what does it mean he hasnt called you for two weeks ?
ıf he thınks you arent the woman he wants to be durıng hıs lıfe, he has to say you that and unfortunately breakıng up

but fırstly you have to talk about that to your famıly and then your fıancees famıly...
ı thınk ım sorry but your fiancee wants to end the relatıonshıp..
So may be famıly can solve the problem or unfortunately you may have to break up..
ın Turkısh tradıtıons fırstly you must tell our fıancee ıf he wants to break up or not and then your famılıes about the break up and then decide...

and I am so sorry for you. I don't know what has happened since you last wrote here. What about your relationship now? Is it ok.? You can share if you want and I hope everything is alright for you guys...
